Rhiannon was very helpful: stowing bags, booking a taxi, answering our questions, and arranging an early check-in.. All the staff was very kind and warm. Anna was also lovely. Also its lower level entry is super convenient to arrival from the train station, literally across an uncrowded Market Street. Wonderful rooms with sunlight, tastefully appointed. The timely limited access will soon be fixed by a second elevator being installed in the hotel. The staff was always helpful (though the laundry lost two of my dress shirts). "Perfect spot for Edinburgh zoo, which is right on the doorstep. We had time for a morning swim before heading to the zoo for opening time. Pool was lovely and quiet. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room service was excellent. Breakfast was varied and restaurant was very pleasant."
