Cournazac Holiday Rentals

"The property and rooms are beautiful and in a lovely location. The pool was clean and warm. Breakfast had the potential to be good, but was overpriced. Bread was stale one morning and there was not enough food as the kitchen was short-staffed. But, we were not charged for breakfast that morning as recompense, which we appreciated. In general, there may have just been some rusty edges to the service as we visited on the hotel's first weekend of the season. Also, this isn't the most important thing in the world, but I had emailed ahead of time indicating that my daughter would be celebrating her 3rd birthday while at the hotel. The email went unacknowledged, and we didn't receive any sort-of card, or extra bedtime chocolate etc. Again, this isn't necessarily expected, but we had spent the previous night at a Hampton Inn at the airport and they noticed my daughter's upcoming birthday on her passport and brought over a special waffle with whipped cream at breakfast. If a EUR 110/night airport Hampton Inn acknowledges something like that, I would hope for at least a "happy birthday" at check-in from a place like Hotel de Bouilhac. "

"This is a budget hotel. We only slept and showered there. We brought our dogs. We booked the rooms at 21:00 for a 22:00 arrival. The entrance is automated. We did not get our confirmation codes to the doors. All of that was solved with a quick call. It was clean and looks like there’s food machines in the lobby if you needed something. The hotel is located in a business zone though there are other hotels nearby. Free parking in the back. If you are arriving late (and are with dogs) and leaving early and need a clean room, I’d recommend Ibis Budget. "

"Staff was very friendly and helpful. I inadvertently left a small item in the room upon departure. Housekeeping discovered it even before I knew of my mistake, the desk called me and kindly arranged to have it sent to me by post. (I paid for postage expenses, of course.) Very efficient and appreciated. "

"Nice room, spacious, but could not reach the window lever to open the window. Mattress had plastic coated cover - not nice, had to remove it"

"When we arrived we asked where we should park. We were told park along the street and at the pay and display, to get a three hour free ticket. I specifically asked if that three hour ticket would be enough to get us till the free parking at night and was told yes. She was wrong."

"The property is lovely, although a little tired; the room was large with sofa, good storage and some strange wall hangings (think swords and battle axes!), but the bed was below par - two different beds pushed together that moved and were not very comfortable. The gym is good with a balcony that looks over the forest, and the spa was great with good massages and spa facilities. Overall, a recommend, but wish they would upgrade the bed, pillows and bedding to match to overall feeling of the hotel. "

"Our room was spotless, well-equipped and supremely comfortable and quiet. Breakfast was very good. There is very little you would walk to from here, but if you have a car this is an excellent stop. "
