"When we arrived we they didn’t have the rooms reserved and paid for and could only give us one room class reserved and a downgraded room. The beach was covered in sargassum and a lot was in disrepair. Our bedroom door wouldn’t close, the food was very average and the property itself was mostly on the side of a hill which made it a nonstarter for anybody who has trouble with stairs. I give it a B-"

"The beach view was good. The fact that it had a beach view was not explicitly stated in the advertisement. They should send a picture of the emergency generator also. That will help alleviate fears of long periods of no electricity."

"The room was great but I didn’t get to select the view. I would have preferred a higher floor for more of a water view. We only stayed for 3 nights. I would suggest staying for longer or picking another place. The restaurant options are limited to a beach bistro and a very nice (expensive) dinner restaurant. The room we were in had a kitchenette but without a car and for only 2 full days, it wasn’t worth it for us to bring in any food. The beach was nice. We didn’t go in the pool. "

"During the first full day of our four-night stay, the unit lost power around noon while the island was experiencing outages. We notified the property contact at approximately 1:00 p.m. and were told power would return within 30–60 minutes. By 6:00 p.m., power had not been restored, and we were informed the water would be turned off in an effort to restore power. At approximately 7:30 p.m., we reported that our unit still had no power or water. We were then informed the water supply was connected to a neighbor’s generator, which was no longer available. Without running water, we had to use pool water to flush the toilet. After I sent a picture of the unit below us with power and us without, the property owner indicated the generator was not functioning and that someone would be sent to repair it. Our rental agreement stated the unit had a generator and continuous water access. Power returned around midnight. The next morning, we secured alternate accommodations and left. The property owner issued a partial refund and advised us to contact Hotels.com regarding any additional reimbursement. We feel we were not made whole. "

"The room was perfect! The kitchen was fully equipped with everything needed, the bed was comfy, towels, beach chairs, etc were provided as well. The best part was the balcony! We hung out on the balcony every time we were in the room, the view was amazing. Will definitely be staying here again! "

"Owner of condo was in touch from the minute we rented and offered excellent recommendations for places to eat and things to do. While we were there, it was easy to contact with the owner. Her response was immediate. Condo is a studio located with a beautiful view of the marina and st John. The pool is located a short walk from unit. Sufi's restaurant is also only a short walk and offers good food and drinks. Sapphire Beach is close by, too and a beautiful spot to hang out. The marina provides numerous opportunities for tours, boat rentals... we had a fantastic time and highly recommend "
