The staff are very welcoming, the cabin is a simple layout, but spacious and clean. Lovely to have a balcony in the woods to sit and watch for wildlife. We had one meal in the restaurant and the food was very good.
Beautiful stay in the heart of nature
We loved the thoughtful little touches like fresh milk in the room — such a nice surprise. The spa bath was perfect for relaxing after a long day of hiking. The on-site restaurant served delicious local food, and the location is ideal — just a short walk to the national park. A peaceful and cozy stay!
Staff were friendly and welcoming. Cabin was clean and comfortable surrounded by bushland and just a stones throw to the national park. We woke up to Pademelons having their breakfast right near our cabin which was very exciting.
Our chalet was cosy and warm. The beds were comfortable, kitchen was well equipped and very clean. The entire space was spotless with plenty of room. It was a lovely place to spend a couple of days.
The food in the restaurant was very nice, well presented but a little on the expensive side. The staff in the restaurant were so friendly and nothing was too much.
The resort is very well placed to get to the Information centre to catch the shuttle bus to Cradle Mountain.
We would definitely stay here again.
The proximity of this resort to Cradle Mountain was the best thing about it. Almost directly across from the shuttle stop to go up the mountain. Kitchen was adequate for a longer stay. And size was great for a small family. It was just 2 if us so we did not need the extra bedroom. The main lodge was busy and had no reservations for dinner left when we arrived but we were able to order pizza to take out that was really good. Cabins were basic but functional. Nice view from the porch in the morning.
The room was quite comfortable and warm for the snowy nights. Home away from home. Though the shower screen door wouldn’t stay shut and water leaked over the floor and the fridge setting, no matter what it was on, froze all our food. The food at the restaurant was overpriced and not a lot of variety. Wasn’t good for someone with dietary restrictions. My daughter ordered one meal and got served something totally different that wasn’t particularly nice, raw fish.
Staying at Cradle Mountain is a true treat, a wonderful location and the accomodation does not disappoint. It has everything you need for a comfortable and relaxing stay, the accomodation is well laid out, easy parking and quiet. The restaurant is great, as our the breakfast packs, although it would be preferred that breakfast in the dining room is offered as an option.
Extremely comfy, facilities are new and well prepared in details. The bar and restaurant are awesome. It was a great stay when visiting cradle mountain. Its location closes to the visitor centre is a plus.
Good maintainence noted in the chalet on which we stay ( couple Spa )
Limited service at reception as they can’t accommodate keeping the guess belongings before and after check in time.
Be prepared to self cater breakfast as no onsite restaurant for this. DON’T get the continental breakfast! $35 for four, thin bits of white bread with no butter or spreads, “fruits” is two small, floury apples, two weetbix, tiny bit of Nutri Grain or Muesli. We didn’t bother and for just $15 more, had the full, scrumptious, buffet breakfast at Cradle Mountain Lodge both days. Helleyers Restaurant is quite expensive. Stayed in a Spa Cottage. Lovely and quiet, warm, about the right price for this accommodation in this location.
