Last minute booking after been let down from nearby hotel, but what a find staff very welcoming room was warm and comfortable, food in restaurant was unbelievable, also a good hearty breakfast will certainly go back

A great hotel. Excellent service throughout. Super friendly staff and excellent food. It was sad that so many people had cancelled their stay!! One moronic couple cancelled because a local restaurant was closed!!!! Unbelievable the food in the hotel was superb and would rival any restaurant!! I just hope the hotel survives this virus thing.

Fantastic night!
Lovely little hotel... the staff were amazing and couldn’t do enough for me. I ate in the restaurant and also had breakfast the food was perfect full of flavour and extremely well presented.

I spend my working life in hotels and as my wife had chosen this one, I didn't have any great expectations. Very glad to say I was wrong - this is a lovely hotel which I can't praise enough. Good location, lovely staff, spotlessly clean and everything worked which should. I don't often eat in hotels but we did here one night and it was the best meal of our break. All in all excellent and I hope to return soon.

Great location. Really warm welcome and fab rooms. We were lucky enough to have one facing the sea. Ideal base for touring north wales. We did it in a motorbike and although there is no parking at hotel there was no issues getting a spot.

The sea view from the executive bedrooms at the front is the best I’ve ever experienced. Who needs a tv when you can just watch the sea change all the time

Expensive. However...one of a few properties still serving as a hotel that holds the proper view over the bay and seafront. Lovely breakfast/dining room, and serves evening meals.

Food was good and staff where friendly but the room had mould in the shower and the shower door had the bits falling off of it

Caerwylan, THE place to stay in Criccieth
We enjoyed a super three night stay in this lovely sea front hotel. All areas are modern and clean with beautiful decor. Food is good and the bar menu superb, served by the lovely John. A huge bonus is the garden seating area with views across the bay and the castle. We were able to hire a garage for £1.75 per night for our motorcycle !

Lovely Hotel Would Definitely Recommend
We stayed one night on our way back home. The staff were all friendly and efficient. We ate at the hotel in the evening and the food was delicious, staff were knowledgeable about local produce used. The hotel was maintained to a very high standard. Location on the seafront was an added bonus. It was a shame we were only able to stay the one night.

The lady and gentleman who run it are absolutely wonderful they go out of their way to make your visit wonderful. The place itself is beautiful and great location, food was delicious breakfast and dinner but it was truly the staffs love, enthusiasm and passion that we will be returning for. Thank you so much for making us feel so welcome. The gin was the cherry on top!

The hotel is charming with wonderful views over the bay and castle. It was lovely to sit in the bar and look out onto the sea and where the barman was charming. The staff were all so friendly and helpful. We arrived early, before noon, just expecting to drop our luggage off. But, no, the room was ready and we were shown straight up. Often hotels stick to a fairly rigid routine about check-in times, but not the Caerwylan. We didn't eat at the hotel in the evening as we had other plans with friends, but we understand that the restaurant is very good. Breakfast was excellent and filling! They certainly know how to do a poached egg here - something that seems to elude some chefs. Tip: you can park outside the hotel at the front, but it's a little tight, or on the seafront a few steps away. But ask to rent one of the hotels lock-up garages at the back. It's very cheap and much more convenient. Thanks again Caerwylan - we had a great stay.

Criccieth stay for Snowdon climb
The hotel is located overlooking the beach and has stunning views. Two min walk to the High Street with pubs and restaurants. Ideally suited for our stay and walk up Snowdon a 20 drive away.

Very fine seashore view from the front sitting room / bar. Can see Cricieth castle from many of the rooms. Excellent breakfast and great service. We had a very quiet room (room 11) even though it doesn't have a wide view of the sea front. I guess the only downside is the tricky car parking. Very narrow road not easy to stop in, even for loading/unloading of luggage. Places to park nearby, but not nearby enough if you have a lot of luggage.

My brother and I had a wonderful stay at the Hotel and wouldn't hesitate to stay again. The owners and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The position of the Hotel was just lovely. The only problem was parking as there was none at the Hotel.

Best in Criccieth
Great hotel, nice modern rooms within a Victorian building. Restaurant food and service very good. Criccieth is a quiet seaside town out of season and a handy base for touring the area. Don’t miss the views from Criccieth castle.

A perfect place for a short break. The hotel was welcoming and comfortable. The catering staff were helpful in adapting the menu to avoid milk for me. There was a lovely view from the large bay window in our room.
