"First let me say that it looks like they might be doing so work to the place. The "lobby" was a room with a check in counter and some construction supplies. The man who helped me was helpful enough with check in but could not accommodate a first floor room. My room was just above the office area at one end of the building while a lot of occupants were staying at the other end. It was a Friday night and there was a lot of loud music from the other end (it was like a party). The room itself was ok but could be a likeable place with a bit of maintenance. When I arrived, the room had a very strong cover-up smell and I had to leave the door open with the fan on for quite some time to get it tolerable. The bathroom paint was flaking quite a bit and an area of the ceiling had what looked like some mold on it. I was pleased with the full fridge and freezer, the toaster and microwave. I used them all. I had to clean the microwave tray and the toaster definitely needed a cleaning but they worked fine. The bed was SUPER comfortable and appeared clean and there were plenty of pillows. The TV was a bit difficult to figure out at first but I got a little bit of use out of it before sleeping. Overall, it was very basic set up with no drawers but enough shelves for storage and a wonderful bed. It had all the necessitities that I needed for that night, but I might need to see if it gets updated if I was to stay again, especially for multiple days. Very convenient location."

"The carpets were all stained and dirty. The carpet in my room was stained. The elevators were dirty. The toilet tissue was so thin it shredded prior upon use. The staff was friendly for the most part except the lady that checked me in. She didn't want to be there. The breakfast was good. This hotel did offer complimentary water and a snack. I have stayed at many Hampton Inns before this stay. This was the dirtiest I have been to."

"This hotel is fine if you seek modern minimalism instead of comfort which is what I seek as a senior traveler. The chair in each room were just office chairs which were totally uncomfortable. I’m not a tech savvy person but you need to be one to operate their televisions. I don’t want to link and control everything by my cell phone. The breakfast was adequate and the rooms were clean."

"We spent four nights for family activities in Meridian. The staff was welcoming and the room very clean and comfortable with excellent mattress, linens and towels. We enjoyed ending our busy days at the Boxcar Bar. Breakfasts at the 601 restaurant were excellent. The history of the Threefoot is documented and inclusion of many of the historical features into the current decor is well done."
