Room clean. Staff was very friendly we ate at Peppers for dinner it was very good and breakfast was good. I had surgery planned day we left and they allowed me to get a few things to take to go for breakfast. Lady at breakfast was super nice

The breakfast was fine - served inside of a restaurant and no takeaway. The set up is more like a motel, with outdoor hallways. The rooms are next to the parking lot and open directly outside (which is good or bad, just personal opinion). It was clean and what you would expect from a hotel room. Very middle ground.

You could tell it was an older style hotel that has been remodeled. The doors do open to the outside which is not something I'm generally comfortable with but it was Culpepper, Virginia. A pretty safe place for a single, female traveler. The only real complaint I have is the storage of the cleaning crews carts. They were stored outside along the back walk way. It was raining when I checked in, it made for a difficult walk from my car to my room. Other than that, everything was fine. If you're looking for a good place for breakfast, Frost Cafe was really good. Also, if you like coffee, Ravens Nest is the place to go. For lunch, Dtom, Dtun and Pinto Thai. Both places were really good.

Stayed for 2 nights while we hiked in SNP. Room was clean, but had to call about the tub and bath mat being dirty upon arrival. Housekeeping fixed it right away. The staff here are so pleasant and professional. The breakfast offerings were good for most people. I wish they offered plant-based and gluten-free breakfast items a la carte. The only complaint I have is that we put out the DND sign on our door and left for an afternoon, only to return to the sign being removed and trash being collected. Not all the trash, just 1 can. And no towels replaced or beds made. So I don't know what the housekeeper was doing in there. The pool area is clean, and we mostly had it to ourselves. Culpeper looks to be a cute little town, but we didn't get a chance to walk around due to heavy rain the day we left.

Didn't have breakfast, but the room was really clean, the bed was comfortable and parking and check-in were both easy. I've stayed here twice--for short stays. The price and the cleanliness make the decision to re-book easier.

Property looks run down, room was clean, but the bed was as hard as a rock. Check in person was unfriendly and not of much help. Breakfast was nothing to brag about, unles you are a meat eater. Which we are not.

This is my go-to place to stay twice a year when I visit Culpeper. The courtyard is nice for walking your dog although you can't count on others to clean up after their pet but regardless, the staff has always been friendly, the rooms have been clean, and they have been working on upgrading the rooms. There are better hotels in the area, but for the price, service and upgraded rooms, I would recommend especially if you have a pet.
