I was on the third floor facing the racetrack and it was fun to watch some local vehicles running around the track. The front desk clerk was friendly, courteous and welcoming. "The rooms are very well designed I assume from the day they were built as the architects drawings are in the hallway showing the exact layout from the 1930s. The Speakeasy downstairs was very cozy and felt like an early 20th century Inn should feel like. I have lived in Bucks County PA, stayed at those Inns and the only big difference was the plumbing at the Mimlyn Inn was modern. You will have a grand time here with a large group or a couple friends visiting Luray and the Shenandoah region."

This historied encampment deserves to be kept up in a more intentional way for our children and grandchildren. Can you imagine what Skyland would look like if just a handful of millions going toward a gilded jet were spent on the deep cleaning and deferred maintenance it requires? "
