"this property is not on the beachfront!! You have to walk down 10 flights of stairs to go to the beach and you have to pass through some pretty nasty unfinished half done buildings to get there. Their dinner buffet was really poorly educated. All the meat was cold. The rooms are decorated in a blue fishy style, but the atmosphere is unpleasant. there was no staff to help us with our bags or guide us to our rooms"

"Excellent location within short walking distance to all major sites in the old city and many restaurants. Comfortable room with kingsize bed and excellent breakfast. Roof top bar with wonderful views of the city. I would stay here again."

"Limited receptionist availability. We had to wait until 3pm just to have someone to talk to and the staff did not know how to handle the situation. She had to call the manager and was handing the phone to us to ask the manager directly. There’s no hand rails for the stairs. It’s also hot in the room. We tried to adjust the temperature but it just does not work. Also asked for beach towels for our boat tour and was given towels full of hair."

"My husband and I truly enjoyed our recent stay at the Lapad Hotel. The room was spacious and clean, the bed was very comfortable. The staff was extremely helpful and nice. We also really liked the breakfasts (one of the best hotel breakfast we have had!). The pool area was delightful, relaxing and peaceful. The bar/restaurant by the pool was also fantastic. The location was a little far from the Old Town (about a 30 minutes walk), but the access by bus or Uber was great. So, this did not bother us at all. We also enjoyed several great restaurants nearby. We fully recommend this hotel!"
Valamar Lacroma Hotel

"We had a beautiful Seaview room, well worth paying extra for this. The pool was big and clean, plenty of space and the children's maro world was really great. The breakfast was really good, so much choice and lovely tables outside to enjoy the gardens and sunshine. We also used the pool of neighbouring hotel which was great. Uber to Dubrovnik old town was 10 minutes and cost around €7. A lovely hotel!"

"Won't stay again. Service and management is so poor. No help provided with bags for check in. No early check in, and no late check out beyond 1 hour. Someone from housekeeping came into our room an hour before check out with our baby still sleeping. So disruptive! Do not order any drinks at the pool bar, all their glassware is filthy dirty! They recycle food from breakfast to dinner back to breakfast."

"I stayed at the hotel with my husband to attend a wedding in the beach club. The view from the hotel is stunning, and is very close to the harbour, around 10 minute walk. Hvar is beautiful, the people are lovely and there are plenty of restaurants in the square. The hotel room was very clean, and lots of choice for breakfast. I would recommend anyone to stay at this hotel. The 3 hour ferry from Dubrovnik was worth it."
