"Basically a nice hotel but a few details need attention: spacious room but heating totally inadequate and had to borrow an additional heater from reception. Room was very cold when we checked in. Need to ditch the paper cups in bathroom and replace with proper glasses. Lack of furniture in room and clothes storage space very limited. Why no wardrobe? Service in restaurant for New Year's Eve dinner was ridiculously slow. Meal took 3 hours! There's no excuse for this, especially as it was a set...

Firstly, it is not a hotel, so the reservations are not monitored, and thus our arrival at the doorstep of the house was completely unexpected.
