"Great stay. Breakfast was lovely, with a wide and varied choice of items. The room was very cosy, and the hotel is bang in the town centre, so very convenient for all that has Darlington has to offer."

6/10 Okay
"I didn’t receive the automated email with check in information. But a quick email to the owner & he replied quickly with the code.
I didn’t arrive at the property until the evening (dark out) I think it would be good in the check in information it’s shared where to find the key box.
The house is on a busy road; so you could hear the traffic a lot. The parking at the front of the house is questionable. Expecting you to park on the path. I was worried my car would get hit. The pictures show the back of the property which would be an ideal parking space if they made it accessible.
On the welcome note, it would have been nice to include the WiFi information rather than having to hunt for it.
Kitchen facilities were adequate - if you intend to cook, I would bring disposable trays with you as the one that they have is going rusty. We didn’t use the pans, so can’t comment on that. Lack of glasses - had 1 juice glass & 1 wine glass. So we were stuck using mugs for cold drinks.
The bedrooms were spacious. Comfortable beds. You can hear the main road from the back bedroom. Fortunately I’m a deep sleeper & once asleep, I stayed sleep. On our 2nd night we were awoken at 3am by very loud music playing - assume it was a neighbour. Lasted for about an hour.
Whilst relatively comfortable, if I had known the house was by such a busy road & parking wasn’t off road, I would have booked a different accommodation.

"Yes, we found a very clean room once we'd managed to open the front door. The key turned freely without engaging the unlocking mechanism for several minutes. I had started to call the number given for assistance but whilst waiting from fourth in the queue, we managed to get in to operate as expected and gain entry. Once inside we found a basic but acceptable room. We did notice that there was only one chair, one bedside table and one bedside lamp. The shower room had a very nice light up mirror and the rainfall shower was brilliant; as were the big fluffy towels and decent loo roll. So many well to do places only provide the skimpiest toilet rolls that aren't much good for their stated purpose. Not here!
The wi-fi wouldn't connect on the stated network, but when raising it with the support team, they did send me correct details and it then worked well.
One other problem was then when the studio above (no 4) had a shower, so did we. Water dripped through our extractor fan. This was reported and promises were made to thoroughly investigate.
The only other observations were there was only a microwave, kettle and fridge - a toaster would have been a nice to have.
The rubbish/recycling bin out front was full to overflowing and had not been emptied in weeks. Was that because each studio was given one black bag with the recycling and waste mixed in so it wasn't collected? Or was it that no-one staying there knows when the collection is & therefore the bin doesn't get put out?"

2/10 Terrible
"I found the place not so clean. From the dishes and cuttlery to the sheets and towels. Very disappointed. One bed's leg broken. They attended to fix the bed's leg but the dirty linnens on pillows and sheets were not changed. Blood patches and long body hairs on the bedsheet where children were sleeping. "
