I recently had the misfortune of staying at the so-called "Dream Inn” (@ Daytona Beach, if you’re wondering) and I can confidently say that it was anything but a dream. In fact, it was more of a nightmarish experience that I wouldn't wish upon my worst enemy.
First of all, let's talk about the rooms. The pictures they have on Expedia and other online platforms must have been taken during some magical era because the reality is far from what you see.
But the real cherry on top of this terrible sundae was the staff. Let's start with management, Nick. If you ever encounter him, run in the opposite direction as fast as you can. I'm convinced he was put on this earth solely to make people's lives miserable. He had the personality of a wet blanket and the customer service skills of a brick wall and I have my doubts about his ability to even manage a lemonade stand, let alone a hotel.
And don't even get me started on the overall experience. The Dream Inn is nothing more than a glorified 3rd world motel with delusions of grandeur. If you're looking for a headache-inducing, stress-ridden vacation, then by all means, go ahead and book a room here. But if you value your sanity and your hard-earned money, do yourself a favor and spend a little extra to stay somewhere that won't leave you questioning your life choices.
Do yourself a favor and spend a little extra money to actually enjoy your stay somewhere else. Trust me, the peace of mind is worth every penny.
