"Palm Spring experienced a March heatwave with temperatures up to 102f. Our suite was on the top floor and the aircon was inadequate to manage a reasonable room temperature so we slept very badly. A rather unsympathetic maintenance man, with his very pleasant assistant, visited and adjusted the vents. However, this just made things even worse. Finally, we were moved to a lower floor, and the temperature was OK. Not the sort of thing one expects from a 4star+ hotel at $400+ per night im Palm Springs which frequently endures these temperatures in the summer months. This is not our first stay at this hotel which is, in all other respects, absolutely outstanding with a wonderful pool area, sumptuously well- equipped gym .... I could go on!"

"Buyer beware! The restaurant and “pool bar” are not open 7 days a week. The pool bar is only open for “happy hour” and only Thurs-Sun. The restaurant was closed Tues & Weds during my stay and staff said hours change “seasonally”. Given I was there during high season, assume it will be open even less in summer. The room was spartan. No dresser drawers, limited hanging. And the bed was aweful! Soft & uncomfortable. Our friends stayed here too & had the same complaint. The grounds are pretty & quiet. That was the one positive. "
