"An extremely comfortable and pristine hotel, particularly considering how remote Villa O’Higgins is. The cabins are warm and cosy, with wood floors and walls and an efficient shower. The main hotel area is also tastefully decorated and staff are exceptionally helpful and friendly. They don’t have a restaurant but in addition to serving breakfast they will, on request, serve dinner - which we found to be good and definitely preferable to anywhere in town. "The location on the lake is extremely beautiful. All the cabins are private, secluded, and have a nice view. The staff were professional and pleasant, and the host was especially helpful with recommendations for what to do during my visit (everything was closing early for the season due to the coronavirus crisis). Meals in the restaurant were well prepared and presented."

"This property has the potential to hit top mark. However the kindness of the staff and the magnificent location -although extremely remote- cannot make up for everything. A very poor wifi - that the absence of tv makes even more painful- the absence of laundry and an overall lack of good maintenance of the place and appliances in general makes it a tiny bit too bohemian to my test. This being said, I loved my stay at the Hacienda!"
