"Hotel staff was great! Rooms were clean and tidy. I dropped my key down the elevator shaft & the staff was so kind & spent 30+ minutes fishing it out for me. Would stay again"

"I’m not sure how to give a full explanation. To check in you go to the diner next door. Don’t try to check in even 15 mins early, even if you are a platinum member, it’s not gonna happen. lol if you are early have a milkshake, they were EXCELLENT. At this time July 21, the grill is broken so only fried foods.lol we checked in and went to our room. The outside temp was 97. The a/c was set to a refreshing 66. It was SO nice to walk into a cool room! No in room coffee but guests get free coffee at the diner. It was a fun experience! The young man manning the counter was super friendly and nice"

"This is a fine motel, perfect for those of us ending/preparing for a long haul east to west or vice versa on I-70. The beds were comfortable with nice bedding, the towels were thick and thirsty, the fridge was a larger unit than in most hotels in this price range, the TV was big! and the complementary breakfast was nice. We definitely paid more for less at other hotels on our trip than we did at Hotel Chaparral! The owners can take this property up a notch by offering streaming services you can sign in for on the TV."

"Found this place on a last minute need. Very clean, friendly staff and most important was the cost. My expectations were surpassed easily. On this trip, I’ve paid 4 times what I paid for this stay. Our room was as good and sometimes better. Respect!"

"Inexpensive, good value, but quirky. Big semicircular windbreak like a northern mining village. Decrepit former restaurant at entrance. Pleasant check-in. HUGE ROOM. Decent burger place Handi’s across the street. Washer and dryers are upstairs above C stairwell. One washer broken, other missing its coin slots, but works if you flip the timer lever. Somebody should pick up the dog poop in the parking median between rooms 114 and 115. Quiet night!"

"The room was clean, quiet, and very reasonable price. The toilet ran all night. We checked in late in the evening and didn't want to bother the staff about that, but they will have a steep water bill if it continues. The outside of the building needs picked up and cleaned. Doors were open all around the building. We could not get the wi-fi to work. There was a coffee maker and coffee in the room, but no coffee pot or coffee cup to use the single serve unit."
