"Property was nice. When you arrive for Bourganville, they drop you off at the adjacent Grand Romana and you shuttle or walk to this resort. They are part of the same with the Bourganville being the adults only. La Grand seemed like it had more amenities, was larger, so if you don’t have to be adults only, you may want to consider that one. The food was good but we could not get reservations for several of the restaurants or they were very late ones. In retrospect, Be best to make reservations in advance on-line before you even get there. Pools were good with poolside service and swim up bars. Quiet pool and activity pool. Activity pool area had its own stand alone bar too. Beach was nice area but the water is not very conducive to swimming due to rocky bottom. So pack water shoes if you plan to get in. Our room was nice and quiet but we could not check in for 2 hours later as they had to set the room for 2 beds which were requested in advance. Staff at that moment were not very helpful. They could have at least had someone orient us to the grounds, activities, etc while we were killing time. We basically had to figure everything out ourselves such as the fact that there is a kiosk in the lobby that you can use to see what’s going on each day and attempt to make reservations. The crowd was a mixed bag of mostly Americans and Europeans who were mostly distant but friendly enough. The staff was mostly friendly but did not speak much English. "

"This was an excellent resort. The property had everything for everybody. The pools were beautiful with a great shallow kiddie pool with lots of attractions. Lots of restaurants with varied cuisine. Only drawback it was hard to get reservations. The staff were all very customer focused and helpful. We had a medical issue and there was a full time doctor. I would highly recommend it."

"This is by far the best resort we have been to in Punta Cana. The selection of food was great. The breakfast has several options, the steakhouse served the best steaks. The Asian restaurant has very good food. The coffee shop served very good coffee , pastries and ice cream. The gym was great also serving healthy juices. The staff was very friendly and polite. The activity during the day were great. There was always beds and towels available around the pool and the beach. This resort is good for a relaxing vacation. Not much was going on as night entertainment. I would highly recommend it for a nice relaxing vacation."

"Secrets Tides is a beautiful resort with some of the best staff I’ve ever encountered at an all inclusive. From the front desk, house keeping, bar service, restaurant service- everyone was AMAZING! We were checked on at least every 15/20 minutes and we were never without a drink! The beach is amazingly clean- the seaweed cleanup was unreal- almost over the top. The shows were great in the evening and I’m usually not a fan of shows but they all were fantastic. I would 1000% give this place a 5 star rating if the food was better. The hibachi place and the Mexican restaurant were fabulous, despite my husband getting sick after the Mexican restaurant twice. Snacks are non-existent and the other restaurants the food was reheated and never fresh. Despite the food we will be back because the rest of this resort is outstanding. Highly recommend !!"
