"Very unique, my wife doesn’t like the dark, but this was a very cozy experience. She loved this .Didn’t get to see the aurora. (Cloudy) but I glad I still did it. Had the one without the bathroom, and it was a well lit path to walk on and graveled, showers and bathrooms seamed to be always available and clean "

"We loved this hotel! Comfortable, casual and very pleasant. We chose it in part because of the food court in the lobby. That made the hotel an even better choice! It was fun and we enjoyed a variety of food and drinks. Hung out there at night for hours - guilty of staying until closing. lol. Seems popular with the locals too. The casual atmosphere totally fit our type of trip which involved a lot of hiking. Our rooms were spacious, clean and had large windows overlooking the beautiful scenery. "

"Stayed in room 102. The hotel is a beautiful log cabin design with a lot of neat touches such as the carved bears in the staircases. The room is a nice size with a mini fridge that is only big enough for a couple drinks. Bed was comfortable. The breakfast was great. A large variety of sweets, cereal, fresh bread and even eggs and bacon. Had no issues getting the code or opening the lockbox that held the key. Recommended. Close to Skogafoss and the amazing hike to Kvernufoss."
