This was an authentic Icelandic experience, the grand finale for our week long trip. This guesthouse was the only place with Icelandic hosts, and they were very nice and welcoming. They provided complimentary pastries on our arrival. The room was better than the photos, and it had exactly what it was advertised. The house rules were very clear and concise. The house booklet contained witty information about tourist attractions and a lovely review of the family story. We walked a little around the farm and greeted the cute sheep. In the evening, we enjoyed the hot tub to ourselves. Before checking out the day after, we took our time to enjoy one last time the magnifecent view. Definitely, it was a nice change from standard hotels.

This property is so unique! It's on a farm with it's own waterfall. The kids enjoyed climbing up to it. There's a hot tub as well overlooking the sunset and water. Just beautiful. The rooms are big and the kitchenettes are stocked well. We used the oven in the lobby for our frozen pizzas. There are games to play and books to read. They even leave out dessert treats for guests. Really enjoyed our stay here.

Out of the 5 nights/places we stayed in Iceland, this stay was our favorite! Our late check-in was sooo easy! Parking was so close to our room. There was a delicious lemon cake in the common area which was a delightful welcoming. Our room was spacious and had everything we need including a walk-out deck with amazing views of the mountain cliff next to us and the ocean. Probably a great place to see the Northern Lights as well. And loved the feel of the place.

Homemade Icelandic cake, welcoming staff, beautiful property, right off of ring road, 2hr from Reykjavik and extremely close to south coast waterfalls and attractions. Great first stop if you’re doing ring road!
