"The room was clean, well maintained, and attractively decorated. The room was a bit small. Staff I encountered were pleasant and helpful, but the office is not staffed until afternoon, so we had no interaction other than when checking in. This motel provided comfortable beds and pillows. On a busy road but I really didn’t hear road noise from the room or noise from other patrons. Basic in its services, in that it didn’t provide breakfast, have a pool or onsite restaurant. Ice machine and washer/dryer available in room near office. That was appreciated. Towels were clean and replenished upon request, but are probably ready to be replaced. Enough mirrors/ good, but could use some wall hooks near door for jackets. Also more hooks in bathroom. Little counter space in bathroom, but shower had good pressure and easy to adjust heat."

"Wesley and family are the new owners and have been making some wonderful upgrades to the hotel. Our room is one of the cleanest hotels I have ever been in! No dust, floors were spotless, smelled clean and the decor is perfectly cute! The shower was new (water pressure just ok), new flooring, new bed linens and curtains. It was very cozy. Updated locks - programmable and overall very safe. I would definitely stay there again."

"Our stay at the Victorian by the Sea was truly dreamy and our favorite part of our visit to Maine. Patrik and Becky (the new owners) have mastered preserving the charm of the property, while still curating a boutique experience with very thoughtful and intentional updates. From the record collection, to the idyllic grounds (inside and out), board games, wine collection, and perfectly homemade breakfasts, it was just so cozy and perfect that we could have spent our whole trip on the property. A special thanks to Patrik for being so warm and welcoming, and making us feel more like old friends than guests passing by. Truly a hidden gem- can’t wait to visit again!"

"The owner greeted us and showed us personally around. The property is lovely and we enjoyed our overnight stay. The room we had did not have a tv and o hadn’t noticed that in the description so that was my fault. We also ran out of hot water with two of us taking a shower. But there were no vacancies so there might have been heavy consumption of water in the morning. Overall we liked our stay and would return if we are in the area."
