Our host Liv was friendly, welcoming and thorough in giving us a few tips as to some of the complimentary soft and juice drinks, know the coffee maker worked and where we could store a few things overnight in a small cooler.
Our one night stay at Thistledown was very clean, decorated tastefully, and to our surprise the room even came with two white terry cloth bathrobes and matching slippers. The bed was very comfortable and found us soon fast asleep.
Thistledown was conveniently located off of Capilano Road, just a stone’s throw from the Capilano Suspension Bridge and just a short drive north of Trans Canada Highway 1.
Just outside our room was a natural lighted corridor with splashes of flowers in large pots and two high-backed chairs where one might easily get engrossed in a good book.
.
Continuing out this airy room led you to the enchanting backyard where one could leisurely sip a beverage, dream or relax on one of the two Chaise lounges or easy chairs, all the while being surrounded by fragrant flowers, shrubbery and tall evergreens.
Our only wish with our stay was that our “Snuggery” room had more space. The bathroom small and the closet could possibly hold two smaller suitcases but a large check-in suitcase like mine had to hold its breath. It’s worth your look.
