"A very nice hotel and a nice garden which could have been better maintained.
The staff was very friendly and the food was nice.
We enjoyed our stay at Brakanes hotel.
Be aware that it’s no minibar at the room."
"It doesn't look great but does the job. A comfortable clean room with a good view to the fjord. Plenty of parking. Breakfast not so great. Hot dishes, baked beans, tiny sausage and scrambled eggs weren't hot, maybe luke warm. Juice was coloured water. Selection of breads, just two cereals and yoghurt and selection of cheeses and meats but unlike other good hotels very light on the renown cold fish Scandinavian options, in fact one! Dinner was just three options so we sought elsewhere. "
"Unfortunately, the park hotel is a bit run down.
A few things we noticed that would have improved our stay are;
TV remote did not work, there were no kettle or hot drink facilities, the lift buttons to levels 2 & 3 did not work therefore we had to go to level 4 and walk down the stairs.
Additionally, the car park... although the staff were polite etc, they told us about the 24hr parking price, however it was not explained that if you leave the car park with that 24hr period, you are charged extra each time."
"When we arrived at our destination the accommodation had not been cleaned. The shower was dirty, towels were on the floor, the beds were unmade. The host was unresponsive. We had to find another accommodation at a fancy hotel because that was all that was available. "
"We loved this hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful and we enjoyed the breakfast selection in the newly renovated dining room. But we adored the view and the access to the fjord from the room. The location was really good for amenities and hikes. We could happily have stayed longer."
"Charming and characterful hotel. Excellent location backing on to railway platform. Opted for a room at the front which was quiet with beautiful fjord/mountain views. Clean, very comfortable beds and helpful staff."
