"The residence is in a quiet peaceful location reached via a windy hillly road. In the 4 nights we stayed in early September, we saw, from the large windows of our rooms, clear views of the hills and mountain, starry nights, misty cloudy views and even a lightening show. All spectacular. The two rooms were spacious enough and clean to our liking, affordable, the staff friendly and Chamonix a half hour drive away. "

"To say that the photographs of the apartment were misleading would be a misuse of the term. Totally mis-representational would be more appropriate (it was a completely different space). "The communal areas of the property were well maintained and welcoming. The staff were generally friendly and helpful. Hotel was in a good location. Breakfast was varied and wholesome. Provision of free 24 hour tea, coffee and water was a welcome facility. However, the first room we were allocated was on a corner, with only a glazed door which opened on to s communal deck with only a net curtain for privacy. When questioned the staff member said, for privacy we would have to close the external wooden shutters, which was a bit of a nuisance. The room was affected by extremely noisy wastewater plumbing from other rooms. Which woke us up early in the morning. We requested a room change and were given a room on the top floor which wad unbearably hot , very small with no proper shower. Overall, we felt we were fobbed off with the lower quality rooms in the hotel. This maybe a reflection of the price we paid nut even so I don’t think it unreasonable to expect a high degree of comfort."
