Modern, stylish hotel just steps off the main pedestrian shopping street. There’s an Aldi around the corner and it’s 10 mins walk to the old town area. The Expedia VIP treat of upgrade and free breakfast is great. Lots of hotels ask you to not have the room serviced to save the planet, but here you get 2 free drinks at the bar each day if you don’t. Also, fancy Malin & Getz shampoo etc in the bathroom.

The Hotel Monopol is a lovely hotel, close to Frankfurt Hbf. The area around the hotel was a little rundown with some homelessness but not unsafe. The hotel was incredibly hot. I understand the efficiency of not requiring a/c but being there when it is hot, humid and 40+ degrees, the room was miserably hot.

"Hotel is really good for a business stay. They have a strange policy on Breakfast delivery, all to the room because of corona which is fine, but you must specify a window of time. I don't mind that but both mine and my colleagues were late, both days. If you're ordering order earlier is the moral ..."
