This was a great price. It’s very old and historic, with skinny halls and crazy carpets everywhere. Like a fun maze! Some small things: fix the elevator, add an instruction card in the shower, add a small shelf in the shower.

It's a very clean hotel, the ownership is very friendly and helpful. It is not a modern cookie cutter hotel or building. It is the Victorian era. It is not fancy in modern terms. The stairs are steep and narrow, they way they were done at the time it was built. I would like more lighting on them. Breakfasts were good and satisfying. I had plenty of hot water.

Pleasant stay with friendly service

A very pleasant stay. A great option for a budget hotel. The room was small but well laid out with everything I needed. Staff were friendly and helpful, especially at breakfast. Breakfast was good - a pleasant full English with cereals, juice, and a good jug of coffee. Good seafront location and convenient for the electric railway and some nearby bars and restaurants. An enjoyable 25 min walk along the seafront to the town centre, and there were also buses. Good value for money.

Basic seafront hotel still working

Hotel was accommodating for late ferry arrival. Was fair enough for 3* Tesco vouchers used Good Towels and shower, adequate breakfast, no bar, no tea/coffee in the room, poor TV. Good to see it in operation where many close by have shut Trip was for Manx

The hotel was perfectly fine for what I expected. It is a bit basic but I didn't expect anything else. A big thank you has to go to the lovely lady who was looking after us at breakfast. She was so incredibly friendly and provided great service.

Lift not in use. Booked before we knew. Main reason we booked as both of us struggle with stairs. Booked through hotels .com. and they state lift not in use overnight. My fault as i didn't check on the hotel site. They did show lift out of action. Lesson learnt. Bathroom very small and dated. Room basic as expected, clean and had kettle etc. Breakfast was included. Juice,cereal, bacon etc. Very good. Asked for a slight change and it was no problem. Delia the lady was amazing. Nothing too much trouble. She moved us to a first floor room after explaining the problem with stairs. Bar not open. Shame as it would have been nice to have a nightcap and perhaps a chat with other guests. Overall a basic hotel. No frills. Service and staff very good.

Great location

We stayed 3 nights at this lovely family run hotel. The beds were all super comfy , the breakfast perfect size avoiding any waste and also very tasty, they even reserved a table for the 3 of us each morning which was amazing. A few bits to improve to have someone always checking for arriving guests . We were lucky as we were served nearly as soon as we arrived but I checked some guests in the following days that waited over 1 hr to be checkin in. This is definitely something that needs to be improved, also taxi services are scarce so for someone with not a local phone having to make calls to several taxi supplier on their own phone can be expensive . My feedback is the the hotel needs to fixed the recepción phone or offset to call taxi for customers . Apart from that all great this is why I give 4 start instead or 5

Booking for one couple in our party was lost so they had anxious wait to get room which didn't have a sea view. No hot water at 6.am. Lack of bar had major impact or on our social plans.
