"We only stayed one night as we were up to visit our pup for the first time. We had no serious negatives about the hotel with the only exception to a bit more character in the room. Our room was a spacious double, which was clean with a very large, comfortable kingsize. We did book a table in the restaurant and the food was extremely good. It is a shame it wasn’t as busy as we expected, specially as it was 5 days to Xmas. If you stay, I would recommend the restaurant. The food and service was very good. Breakfast did the trick for us! Overall, we will be staying again in mid January and if it was not that good, we would have stayed elsewhere. Worth noting, if you are at the far end of the hotel, it will be worth checking out the stairs downstairs before the main staircase as they are shortcuts to the bar and restaurant. "

"Everything was spot on, welcoming, courteous and friendly. The young man even asked if we had enjoyed Christmas Day with our family. The room was spotless and comfortable. There was even fresh milk available."
