"The hotel was easy to find and the check-in process went smoothly. The lift to my floor was quick and quiet. The overhead lights came on as I left the lift area and the room key worked 1st time and did so throughout the stay at the hotel. The room air-conditioning did not work so well it could NOT be adjusted to provide more heat it could only be adjusted down. The bedside shelf on one side of the bed was partly broken but it still supported my travel clock, this was in room 226, clearly the shelf had been broken some time ago but had not been repaired. I got an iron and ironing board from reception which I used during my stay and left in the room on my departure. I dropped off the key card into the box near reception on my departure. The breakfast each day was OK not great. I did not use the bar for alcoholic drinks as there were two Wetherspoon pubs just yards from the hotel and I used them as they both have my favourite drink on tap. I asked reception for good Indian restaurants near the hotel both places gave me a mild case of the runs. The Asian buffet was OK and the Italian restaurant was also OK as was the steak restaurant visited one night."

"Hotel staff are all very friendly and helpful the hotel is set in amazing grounds and the food in the restaurant is excellent the only down side is holiday inn accessible rooms not all the rooms are truly accessible you need to check before you book to avoid being let down"
