Lovely staff, good breakfast, clean rooms but very run down hotel. Not enough staff to have bar or restaurant open except for breakfast. Good location. Needs a major update though!

Nice comfortable beds, great location for what we needed. Restaurant was closed during our stay and reception didnt have our carpark booked when we checked in even through I requested one at booking. Liked: Staff & service
Although I chose to book Kingsgate my stay was not a good experience. I found the reception staff very helpful. On entering the lift I could feel and see property not maintained. My room only offered a shower over the bath which was impossible for me to navigate. High bath for a 86 year old with no grab rails. Room was not cleaned well. Crumbs from my first night crackers were still on the floor 3 days later. Bed not made one day. Carpark access below the hotel was tricky to access. The slant of the ground made it difficult to open car doors once parked. Disappointing stay. Would not recommend.

Pretty average for the price. Whole place needs modernising, very dated and not well maintained. Breakfast was very average. House keeping was non existent. Cheeky to charge for parking. Very central with the city centre on the doorstep.
