"The Royal Lion Hotel is a nice place to stay. It is in a very good position to explore Lyme Regis from. The staff are very nice and helpful and friendly. The food was good for me as I have some food intolerances and I could always find something tasty to eat. I hope they light the fires in the bar soon as it is getting chilly and a fire is so comforting. We had a very nice room with access to a garden and seating. Our bed was very comfortable and we slept well. A lovely shower with plenty of hot water as well. I also like the traditional rooms on the upper floors as they are more in keeping with the age of the building. I hope the Royal Lion is not modernised too much. We want to stay there because of the Tradition of the building, the dรฉcor including furniture and the comfort. Please don't modernise too much. We will be back."

"Lovely clean large room. Great tv with a superb picture. Plenty of tea / coffee and biscuits welcome tray. We were surprised how quiet our sleep was, the pub below was busy but no sound from it. The decoration of the whole venue is incredible with so much to look at. There is a lot of car spaces but the area is very busy so itโ€™s a bit of a search to find one."
