Nice property next to the lake. Our room was facing the lake and the view was really good! Staff were friendly and the place had a homely vibe to it. Rooms were clean and well maintained. Breakfast was good, with lots of freshly baked bread and pastries, and omelettes made to order.

Gorgeous room with a great view, tasteful decor with beautiful wooden furniture in the room - they also had a safe, coffee machine and smart TV which was nice. Super helpful and smooth reception service, and one of the few double beds we had in Iceland that wasn’t two single beds pushed together! Food in the restaurant was great for dinner and breakfast too, and the breakfast staff was very accommodating.

Highly recommended Viking Cafe and Guesthouse if you are visiting Glacier Lagoon and Diamond Bench. This property has hiking trails of 4 to 6km and we get free access because we are house guests. The Viking Village is right on site. We stayed at room 6, short driiving distance from main cafe. Breakfast was decent and nice. There were fruits, ham, cheese and cinnamon rolls etc. The room is well kept, looks newly renovated, was cosy and comfortable. The bed mattresses are of high quality and we...

Very nice stay and breakfast

Easy to find restaurant around this area.

Very friendly staff. We stayed for 3 nights at Lilja Guesthouse. On second night, after he told us about the visible aurora; we rushed out to take photos. Upon request, he kept our meals till later and even replaced me with another bowl of soup the next evening. Room was clean and tidy. A comfortable place to stay for a few nights. If there is a chance, we will go back to Lilja Guesthouse again.

Love that they provide free tea but could do with simple room amenities like mini fridge and kettle.

1. Near to Hofn town. 2. Good breakfat. 3. Room and bathroom is big!

Perfect stop for us as we were on the ring road around. Room size was ok for a group of 3 pax, simple with no frills. But the hotel exude a cosy and family style stay. Check in and out was easy. We even had a chance to see the northernlights at the open space right besides the hotel. Bfast was good. We made a request for some eggs just before bfast time end. It was so kind and warm of them to agree to our requests. It was the exceptional services from them that made our day.

Nice hotel with sea view. Rooms were comfortable and decent size. It's within walking distance to popular restaurants. The staff were most helpful.
