Sheraton New York Times Square Hotel
4/10 Poor
"Room was a little tired but clean. Outside windows were grubby. The bed was amazingly comfortable. Best part about the room.
On the downside the elevators were a nightmare. The amount of ppl waiting in the lobby for elevators was ridiculous. So access to our room on floor 10 was a lottery. On 2 occasions we had to use the lift to floor 20 and walk down 10 floors to access our room. On leaving the room the elevator wasn’t available on a few occasions leaving us to call the reception for a service lift or just use the stairs.
It put a real downer on what otherwise would have been a wonderful stay. We did not use any othe facilities as the lines were way too big.
Over all I would probably choose a different hotel for future visits. "
"We stayed at Park Central hotel for the Memorial Day weekend,
We were given a room that was not only not clean it was smelly and had mold on the bathroom sink and no towels on the bathroom, we asked to get another room and it was worst. We ended up with a very small stall shower, very crowed too, and also mold in the bathroom sink too.
I would have preferred a tub and shower, I was very disappointed this time, we had stayed before at this hotel with a totally different experience than this time,
I would not recommend this hotel anymore."
"Great location with very close proximity to Times Square and many attractions. The hotel was also near excellent Italian restaurants and pizzerias, which made dining very convenient. The staff was exceptional during check-in and made us feel welcomed from the moment we arrived. Overall, we had a wonderful stay at Hotel Edison."
"Sadly this stay was disappointing. My husband and I booked The Public because we were in town for NY Design week on a work trip, and although we expected the room to be small we didn't expect everything else to be sub-par. It started off badly with the mattress in our room being awful. We are not picky when it comes to mattresses, but this was extremely lumpy, uneven and you could feel the springs. So we asked if there was anything they could do and after talking to multiple unhelpful people we finally spoke to the manager. She was very nice and did her best to come up with a solution, however, the best they could do was move us to a room with two twin beds. The amenities were very slim - no stocked mini fridge, housekeeping never replaced our drink glasses or our tissues or gave us a new bathmat (this was necessary because the shower water runs straight into the toilet area so you need a bathmat to catch it). I've stayed at a few other Ian Schrager hotels before and expected much better, but found The Public to be all aesthetic and no function/comfort. Will not be returning."
