"The staff are awesome. This location is very convenient for many activities. Lyft and Uber find you quickly here and short trips to major attractions are cheap. You can walk to many interesting activities and eateries from the hotel. The only negative during a week long stay were the taxis that wait at the hotel. They run you somewhere without turning the meter on and ask for twice what it should cost in cash. We did report this to the concierge, but chose to use Lyft rather than fight with taxi drivers. The attached Ovation mall is fun to explore and lots of food choices. AAA "

"Checking in and out was super easy. The breakfast service was also great, there was many fresh options to choose from. I love the cozy room, the dimmable lights and the "save the environment" button at my door that turns everything off as I leave. The gym was also clean. I would definitely go back and recommend this place to anybody."

"I had a handicap room on the 2nd floor. The pillowcases had an old smell as so did the bed. The room my daughter stayed in was room 217. She had a street view which she stated that she didnt care as she was in the room only 2 days that week. The staff was extremely pleasant, food there was costly. It would have been great if there was a shuttle to LAX, but completely understood the traffic. "

"I enjoyed my stay at the Freehand and will definitely choose them again for my next LA trip. There were some smudges of someone's makeup on the wall near the mirror and the desk table had some damage on it but otherwise the room was clean. The room I chose faced a street with a bar and there was some noise from people standing out front late at night but otherwise it was a peaceful stay. The rooftop bar is wonderful and open til midnight which made it a great option for a night cap without having to leave the hotel and the lobby lounge was a great option for getting work done during the day. A little busy but I found a spot and the cafe integral staff was very kind and accommodating. "
