Independent, Eastern Iceland hotels

Nice property next to the lake. Our room was facing the lake and the view was really good! Staff were friendly and the place had a homely vibe to it. Rooms were clean and well maintained. Breakfast was good, with lots of freshly baked bread and pastries, and omelettes made to order.

Gorgeous room with a great view, tasteful decor with beautiful wooden furniture in the room - they also had a safe, coffee machine and smart TV which was nice. Super helpful and smooth reception service, and one of the few double beds we had in Iceland that wasn’t two single beds pushed together! Food in the restaurant was great for dinner and breakfast too, and the breakfast staff was very accommodating.

Beautiful new-built duplex facing the "lake" and the old town. Great location, within walking distance of everything and on the round-lake path. Perfectly outfitted with patio and grill and well-stocked kitchen. The area is gorgeous, albeit marred by oversized (for the village) cruise ships which sometimes dock at the nearby ferry port.

Exceeded expectations. Rooms and amenities was more than what we saw in hotels. Loved the open living room area and kitchen both gave a nice touch. Hosts were very helpful and friendly.

Comfortable place and friendly staff

A bit cumbersome to get key from a restaurant and then go to property . Kids double bed was in a confined niche . Most restaurants are shut on Monday and Tuesday

Enjoyable stay

Situated in a Quaint and beautiful town, this place is pristinely clean, well-maintained and lovely.

We were positively surprised. Very clean and close to the village centre. Highly recommended!
