"We had two different rooms on the 6th floor because we like the hotel and the area so much we canceled our move to a different hotel. Excellent friendly staff, well maintained comfortable rooms, wonderful breakfast buffet and menu choices, great bar and restaurant. Typical good service from an IHG Intercontinental hotel. George Street is wonderful we walked everywhere and the tram is nearby for Leith, the airport and points between. Fantastic food and shopping all around this area. We had a deluxe king room with city view, sizeable with a sitting area, wide view out to the Firth of Forth. Then a premium king room and although no view advertised, still a nice look over the city and to one side a view of Edinburgh Castle. You'll be well cared for and comfortable at the Intercontinental the George."
