The king bed we got was very comfortable. The pool, sauna, Jacuzzi are is very relaxing. The full hot breakfast buffet at $12.50 pounds was well worth it.

Good clean property outside of the Old Town with not a lot of amenities around there. So it’s not convenient for tourists to stay there. However, it was much more reasonably priced and was clean so that’s a good trade off.

The location of this hotel is incredibly convenient as its just a 10 minute stroll down to Portobello beach which is so underrated (and long may it stay that way). The property itself is a magnificent old building with plenty of character. Staff couldnt be more helpful, whether that be reception or the leisure staff, they couldn't do enough. Will be using again for the next trip to Edinburgh

Room was clean and comfortable, reception staff were excellent in helping out with booking problems. Good variety of Bistro food, breakfast was ok. Best was being able to use the leisure facilities from 6.30am. Free parking on the main road was a bonus too. Nearby train for a 7min hop into Edinburgh Waverley in heart of city, so excellent location.

I liked the hot tub and the swimming pool a lot! I found the room numbering and layout really confusing, with no logical order to how the rooms were laid out in the hallways. It took several minutes to find the room. I think a map of the layout would have been helpful.
