Clean room, great location (close to tram and shops/attractions). Good continental breakfast. Only issue was with noisy water pipes until 2:00 am.

This room was too small and claustrophobic. We knew the bed was surrounded by walls on three sides, but not welcoming. One uncomfortable chair was offsetting, as well. The complimentary coffee cafe was great, especially to take. Mid day break after all that walking through such an amazing city. Location is fantastic!

Our room was very basic and needs refurbishing. Wallpaper was coming off the wall and paint was cracked and chipped on the ceiling. The staff was polite and professional. The hotel location was just off Princess Street giving easy access to Edinburgh.

It was good for the price! Very central and walking to distance to most places. The carpet in the room was a bit dirty but otherwise its good for a short stay in Edinburgh.

Great find

It’s a great location about 10 to 15 minute walk from station. It’s on a nice street with lots of pubs and restaurants. The check in area appeared to be self service although we had an associate check us in. The hotel is under repair and is covered with scaffolding which does block some views but that wasn’t a concern for us. Room was small and bed was up against a wall but it was comfortable with lots of ledge availability and storage under bed. Bathroom was very nice. We definitely would stay here again!

Overall we enjoyed our stay at Hub by Premier Inn! They were able to hold our bags until check in time and staff was helpful. Overall the room is very small. It was fine for one night, but wouldn’t be my choice for extended time. It does have everything you need and was clean, but lots of bumps and marks on the wall and hallway carpets could use a cleaning. The location is excellent - you walk right outside to bars and restaurants and one of the main streets in Edinburgh.

For $400/night I expect more than a room that is basically a closet. It was clean and modern but claustrophobic. There was also construction and scaffolding so I couldn't even see out my window. They say there is someone at the front desk 24/7 but there was literally never anybody there and I had to wait over 10 minutes every time for an employee to show up. 100% not the quality I expwct for the cost. Would not recommend

Our room was pretty good size. One strong feedback for the management is about the Bathroom. There is no partition in shower with the other parts of the bathroom. Taking shower means water will be stranded there your whole stay. We had to use towels at the entrance so that water doesn't overflow from there into the room. There were splashes of water when you enter in bathroom, it was not just a puddle but a pool there. That was the worst part of our stay.

Staff was friendly but quite slow with service - it took a long time to check in (it didn’t seem they had a desk attendant at all times available) and again to retrieve my bags when I had left them in their storage room to walk around the city. Facilities overall were fine, a little older but clean in general. Nice that they had free coffee and tea easily accessible. It’s in a great part of the city so location was very convenient to walk 15-20 minutes to major attractions. Biggest complaint was the noise going on from construction!! Right outside of my window were people working on scaffolds so I was abruptly woken up every morning to the sounds and vibrations of drilling… weird I wasn’t warned at all about this or given a different room because it was VERY disruptive.

This was a very modern hotel room compared with most properties we have stayed in near the city centre. The location is excellent in terms of proximity to Princes Street shopping/dining/pubs and Edinburgh Castle and the Royal Mile. The castle is practically across the street from the hotel and it's less than a ten minute walk away. It's also only 20 minutes walk to Calton Hill and Dean Village, two must-see areas of the city. The beds were very comfortable but we found there was a lack of storage space for our luggage and bags in the room. We discovered later that the beds have storage underneath but there was nowhere really to put your bag unless on the floor or bed, as we didn't want to unpack everything to put in the bed drawers. The room was very modern, with an automated control panel above each bed, but if one person wanted the light for the bathroom, the entire room had to be lit up. We were given an accessible room so the water from the shower went everywhere in the bathroom. Something seemed not right about the drainage for this because we had to ask for a squeegee and extra towels to deal with the water on the bathroom floor. Not a big deal but something to know. The staff were very good in addressing this for us. The entire staff we met were very friendly. The hotel is getting outside facade improvements so we never actually got to see what it looks like, lol. There's a complementary tea and coffee station in the lounge. I'd definitely recommend staying here.

Location: 5/5 Quality: 2/5 Value for the price: 0/5 - Disgusting, filthy carpets, but room was otherwise clean. Travel companions agreed but said their bathrooms were not clean. - Noise: AC unit gurgles and creaks very loudly whenever on - Insufficient room features: no trash can in main room, no safe, single control for all lights at once is not ideal for more than 1 person per room, very limited surface/table space - Staff: front desk is not staffed, there is no text messaging system, and phone is not answered, so you have to physically go to the lobby and press a button to wait for someone if you need anything, but staff is friendly when needed - Good location is the only real positive - Accessible "roll-in shower" room's bathroom does not drain well so it floods when showering The concept of this hotel is like one step above a hostel. Very strongly recommend against this location and chain (Hub by Premiere).

Someone came up and fixed it, then it broke a second and then third time. The manager on duty moved us to a new room for two nights that was half the size and had no windows. He said they would refund us for one night. 10 days later, after contacting the property via Expedia and their own site, there has been no response and no refund. What a waste of time and energy. The concept of this hotel is like one step above a hostel. Very strongly recommend against this location and chain (Hub by Premiere).

First of all I don't know why they gave us a room for disabled people, said that, the bathroom flooded every time we shower. It was terrible! We had to make a barricade with towels to try to contain the water. Also they modernized the light system only to make it worse in terms of choices. Another thing is the Parking. As you might understand that is the city center and parking is limited, the choices and instructions are very poor and it might expose you to get a fine from the city. By the other hand the staff is very friendly, specially the one from Polonia.
