Highly recommend Hostal Hispanico II, staff very friendly & attentive, room was perfect for two or 3 & even had a 3rd mattress to pull out under twin bed. "All gone wrong… maps tooks you to another building, the phone number is wrong, it takes forever to get rid of the chat bot and talk to a real person, then you got the place phone number, but … the receptionist only speaks Spanish (not French and English as promised) . After get directions, the rooms does not look like the pictures, no plates , no pillows, no tables at outdoor, just an empty apartment (the linens and towels were there..) The apartment is brand new, but not suitable for a short...

"A two night stay for us. Hotel is within walking distance of the city. Plenty of on-site free parking. Good sized well equipped room and bathroo. Reception staff friendly and helpful. Had the menu of the day on one night and it was excellent and extremely good value."

"A fantastic hotel, with excellent breakfast buffet and so close to Plaza Mayor and the main attractions in Salamanca. Very helpful staff, who solved the problem with my mattress, promptly after the first night. (They added these fluffy mattress toppers that make you sink in them and twist your body until your spine hurts --and you wake up at 3 a.m.!) Advice to other travelers: test the mattress immediately after arrival, and if the stupid mattress topper is not what you want, ask them to remedy the issue right away."
