"I had heard so many great things about Luang Prabang, I wanted to check it out. My stay at the Pha Nya Residence was outstanding. Check in was easy, the staff was so very friendly, and the location was great. The breakfast was also very good - try the Northern Lao soup. It was great and I had it every day."

"Went to stay at Mad Monkey for 3 days in the shared dorm for the doublebed room for couples. It was some lovely people and very helpful staf. It has happy hour for 4 hours a day, you get a free drink when arriving and they have aircon in the rooms. The rooms are still warm but feel quite private. We enojyed the pool area, especially at night where you could look at the stars and swim around before going to bed. Bathrooms and showers are shared and looks nice. "What an absolutely amazing resort! The service is impeccable and the staff will go out of their way to cater for you. The breakfasts are cooked for you to a very high standard. My only gripe is I wish there could be more of an “adults only’ area as I am slightly allergic to children screaming outside my bedroom at 6am"

"The breakfast menu is great. However I had to ask for the plate of boiled eggs not to be left in the sun! Everything else was perfect. The pool and location are great. The venue is just a short walk to the day and night market. The Mekong is nearby too and the ‘Coffee Club’ cafe"

"Beautiful historical property managed by kind, professional, and attentive staff. We enjoyed a wonderful 2-night/3-day stay there in May 2025. The hotel is clean, peaceful, and excellently-located close to the river, the night market, and all of the temples. We highly recommend staying at this property. It is a perfect base from which to explore Luang Prabang."

"Mekong Riverview is an excellent option if you want to have a unique experience in Luang Prabang. It may not have the amenities of a five-star hotel, but I enjoyed it a lot more than staying at a cookie-cutter five-star hotel. The architectural distinctness, the sense of privacy, and most importantly, the helpfulness of staff made the stay so pleasant. In particular, they let me use my room after I checked out so I could stay in an air-conditioned room (not common in LP) until the taxi driver to the airport arrived. Definitely recommended. "
