The restaurant for dinner had amazing food and service. I honestly can’t say enough about this property. The interior is warm and thoughtfully designed, with soft lighting, cozy seating, and inviting spaces to relax. Large windows bring in natural light and enhance the calm atmosphere. Meals are simple and satisfying in a relaxed bistro style. The buffet breakfast is fantastic, with a wide variety of fresh options. A wonderful touch is the 24 hour trust station with snacks, drinks, and complimentary water, which makes the stay feel effortless. Step outside to gentle walking paths and open sky that invite you to slow down and reconnect with nature. A simple, beautiful escape. Deutsch Das Berghotel Kristall wirkt vom ersten Moment an beruhigend, eingebettet in eine ruhige Landschaft mit weitem Blick. Die Einrichtung ist warm und durchdacht, mit sanftem Licht, gemütlichen Sitzbereichen und einladenden Rückzugsorten. Große Fenster lassen viel Tageslicht herein und verstärken die entspannte Atmosphäre. Die Mahlzeiten sind einfach und gut, im Bistro-Stil serviert. Das Frühstücksbuffet ist hervorragend und bietet eine große Auswahl an frischen Speisen. Besonders angenehm ist die 24-Stunden-Vertrauensstation mit Snacks, Getränken und kostenlosem Wasser. Draußen laden ruhige Wege und die Natur dazu ein, langsamer zu werden. Eine einfache, schöne Auszeit."

"Property is difficult to assess. On the one side Great location, new building, impressive artwork, on the other side not transparent. Room booked was executive room. First room offered was small, no sofa, etc. Claim was that a tiny balcony would make it executive. Upon request, a real executive room was granted. Twice the size and all the advertised features. Room change, wasted time and the impression that we were initially shortchanged. Then, after a long day out we come back to the room - no service. When inquiring at the front desk the young lady there showed real attitude. „You were told.“ „There are cards in the room.“ „This is for sustainability.“ We were not asking for fresh sheets. But making the bed? Cleaning up the room? This was not about sustainability. It was about saving cost. And when your shower has no door, the floor towel gets totally wet. It doesn’t dry up over the day. Again, you feel a little chiseled. Bottom line: This could be a nice hotel, but there is a palpable undercurrent of being „too cute“. At ~ $400 a night this is just ok. This is a nice hotel with a palpable undercurrent to give the guest less then what was bartered for."

"Lovely hotel with lovely staff. It’s walkable to the old town but not close. Having a car would be better in this location or taxi’s, which are readily available. We drove all around Germany and this was the easiest hotel to park. The staff is lovely and made our stay fantastic. "

"I didn't have a pet with me but I saw other customers that did. They do welcome pets. The breakfast was good! 2 types of bread, ham, Swiss cheese, orange juice, scrambled eggs, boiled eggs, assorted condiments, and excellent espresso, coffee, or cappuccino. The only constructive criticism I offer is I wish there was an in room Keurig or kettle for evening herbal tea. Also a vending machine in the lobby would be nice for late night snacks. We stayed in a tiny house and it was quiet and private. Overall we were very satisfied with our stay and would recommend it to anyone visiting the Trier area. "
