"The room and en-suite were spacious, clean and well maintained. The welcome was warm and friendly. The staff were lovely and helpful.
We were very impressed in the restaurant. Two years ago, I had emergency surgery, which means I cannot eat much. We asked if we could order one meal, but have 2 plates, so I could take what I could manage. This is a regular thing for us and most places will do it. At this hotel, they split the meal into the two plates and presented them normally. It was so kind and thoughtful. I still had to pass half of it to my husband, but the extra effort was very much appreciated. Ten out of ten for going that extra mile."
"A lovely relaxing hotel in a beautiful garden and woods location. Easy walk to the lake and restaurants. Breakfast was excellent. The staff are very helpful too. Room very well equipped and spacious. We shall come again!!!
What a find!"
"A lovely hotel. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Food was delicious - ate breakfast (great buffet and variety) and fabulous lunch too. Staff was very good. Only negative was the WiFi was weak. In this day and age that was disappointing. Overall highly recommend. "
"Great room, great restaurant with great beer on draught. Breakfast is well stocked. Very good value and easy to park just off the motorway too. Friendly and attentive staff. "
"We stayed in a deluxe double which had a view out over the garden and on to the lake. The room was clean and tidy but there are no tra or coffee making facilities in the room. Instead there are some 'refreshment stations' placed in the corridor which work on an honesty system. Whatever you take you keep a note of and then declare it at checkout (I think). We didn't use it but some other guests did, at about 1 in the morning, and made a great deal of noise - not ideal. However, not the fault of the hotel really, but just worth being aware of. There is a big car park opposite the hotel, so parking is easy. Breakfast was good, although we did have to hunt for bowls or plates which were not placed close to where you might need them. The terrace and garden are lovely to walk around and it is only a short walk through the garden to the lake."
