"This place is awesome. We cannot wait to come back. We had a wonderful cabin that was clean with great beds. Everything we needed was there. Plus they had a fly fishing pond, horseback riding & a big fire going at night. We ate at the restaurant. it was fabulous. We had the Bison short ribs. It was huge and amazing. Also had a great breakfast buffet that it was included. Love this place can’t wait to come back."
"Although an older property, the staff keep it well maintained. It is well located for the Northern part of Yellowstone.
Although there is no breakfast available, the room had a microwave and fridge plus coffee and hot water was available in the morning to take away. There are a few local places to get breakfast from if required."
"I’ll start by saying the manager was very nice and appreciated my telling him of these issues. He did discount our room and stated that it was the start of the season and housekeeping was still being trained.
It is an older motel and in two separate buildings. Some maintenance and updating is certainly needed. The outlets of our nightstand did not work at all and the outlet behind the nightstand would stop working if the cables plugged into it were touched. Not ideal for Cpap users. Also, although they worked fairly well, the old wall AC units have seen better days. The button controls in our room were smashed and a remote was there to control it. The exterior parts of the units in our building were also in very rough condition.
As far as housekeeping, there were some cleanliness issues but the manager apologized for staff still being trained.
If you are looking for an accessible room, be aware that the main building books up with long term guests and the secondary building has an entrance door, four steps down (or more stairs up) and a secondary door to the hallway before you even get to your room. No elevator. No luggage carts either (stairs) so hauling luggage up/down stairs and through multiple doors just to get to a room
Also, the ice maker is in the main building so up/down stairs, through multiple doors to go to main building for ice. Inconvenient in bad weather.
Just expected better for the $."
"We stayed in one of the cabins, with shared bathroom with neighboring cabins, so a tad rustic.
We did enjoy our front deck, with a cocktail watching all the whistlepigs."
