Hotel Des Balances

Old Town Lucerne

10/10 Excellent

Hotel location is perfect at the old town area. Train station is about a 10-15 mins walk away. We took a cab when we checked in but it’s definitely walkable if you don’t have much baggage. The rooms are of a very decent size and are pretty well maintained too, only thing I can complain is the toilet size as I could only open and close the toilet door halfway without knocking on the toilet bowl.

The bed was super comfy, the bathtub was overlooking the window with the mountain/glacier view, room is big, lights were adjustable to how bright or dim u want them, breakfast has quite a good spread, staff were cheerful and helpful, there was 2 complimentary welcome drinks...
