The hotel itself does need a refurb & our room though a non smoking room, smelt of cigarettes and was a bit dated. "The restaurant was great - good atmosphere, excellent food and good value. Rooms were a bit cubicle-like with door opening onto the back garden. Nothing wrong with that but we didnt expect it to be a functional modern block tucked behind a character frontage."
