"I was super excited to try this hotel. It turned out to be super cute. The front desk staff were lovely. They have a nice rooftop restaurant/bar and a gym.
The room was pretty loud. There was this clock sounding dinging that kept going off around 10pm ish. You could hear everything in the halls and outside even at 1am. Very thin walls. No mini fridge which was fine for us, but I thought it was odd, especially with so many restaurants close by and people going for dinner and drinks.
I did have to ask for 2 extra pillows when I got there, despite the staff telling there were 2 in the closet of my room. I didn't have a closet which was very confusing. They did bring some up right away which was lovely.
The gym was nice with great equipment.
The hot water was the biggest downfall. When I showered, it took about 3.5 mins to even get warm, and about 5 full minutes to get hot. My partner said the same thing in the morning. I do understand it's an old building but 5 minutes is a long time and a waste of water.
I would try this hotel again in one of their terrace options just to see what it's like, but I am not sure that it is quite worth the prices that they offer, but it was very cute with unique character. It was convenient to be downtown close to many restaurants and a beautiful park and walking path.
They did give me a parking refund for the issue with the hot water for both of our vehicles. That was very kind and as I said, the staff were phenomenal."
"The king room was very nicely updated, really new microwave and fridge.
They were very helpful in getting me a room on the same floor as the lobby.
Good breakfast options."
"The staff are very friendly and helpful.
The pool was warm and refreshing. The hot tub was nice but could have used some fresh water, I didn't go in.
Breakfast was good scrambled eggs, sausage, toast, bagels, fresh made to order Waffles etc.
I will definitely be back!! Thanks 👍 😊"
"Perfect spot right on the water. Very picturesque! We only stayed 1 night but the rooms were comfortable, the shower hot, and the buffet breakfast in the morning was very good! Would love to spend more time in the area, seems really beautiful!"
"Very clean, helpful staff, felt safe as a woman travelling alone. Hanging flower pots a lovely touch. It was very close to Base Borden. It was great having a coffee pot in the room. I never did figure out the tv though."
