A short walk from Essen train station, the hotel is reasonable for the price. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was a good size, with good heating and air-conditioning unit, a kettle with tea and coffee, a complimentary bottle of water. My room overlooked the car park at the back of the hotel so it was nice and peaceful, facing away from the busy road. The room wasn't spotless, but it was clean enough. There were dirty water marks on the wall and the radiator in the bathroom. The mug also had dried spots of coffee from the previous person, so I had to clean this myself before using it.

It was, overall, a good bargain. However, I was disturbed by the cleaning staff 45 minutes too early, and the staff at breakfast promised to bring me coffee but apparently forgot it.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Room was a little disappointing - had booked a King bed but ended up with a tiny single instead - but otherwise very good stay.

Good but not great
Nice place for the price. Very quiet. Themed rooms. Tea & coffee are "included" in room but you get 2 instant sachets and they don't replace them. Every time they clean the room they move the shower head to the bottom and turn it to face the wall - this is annoying! Plus the shower head is a bit poor anyway. There was no light switch reachable from bed, otherwise a nice place. Nice double bed but strangely a single duvet. Check-in was good and easy, so was check-out.

Close to everything I needed
I booked at the Art Hotel for a conference at Messe Essen in July. I arrived by train from the airport and could walk from the train station to the hotel, no need for a taxi! It is close to a pedestrian area with tons of shops, restaurants, metro/bus/train and grocery store. My room was HUGE and so comfortable. If you travel in the summer though, there is no AC in the room but they provide a fan in the room for those hot days! If I come back to Essen, I will stay there again for sure.

Well located and very friendly staff
Great hotel, located close walking distance to central station and u-Bahn. Very lucky to time visit with 4th July BBQ party with staff and other residents - a really lovely touch. Loved the Beatles-themed room!

Convenient and comfortable hotel
Service and stay was very good. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Bed was comfortable and I slept well. Only reasons I made it a 4 overall: overhead light bulbs blew out in room after first night and was left without main lighting for remaining nights. Made it work with bedside lighting, but it was dark at night. Also, first room reeked of smoke and had to switch to alternate room. Had to hold breath when walking from elevator to my room due to strong smoke smell.

Nice Hotel

Handy and a good price
Pros: * Good location * Good price * Clean quiet room * Friendly & helpful staff Cons (minor): * Some staff had only a little English * One day my room wasn't cleaned until about 4:30 I was very happy with my stay at Hotel Körschen. It was far better than the (more expensive) boutique hotel I stayed at on the next leg of my trip. The rooms are pleasant, it's in a handy location and the staff were more than happy to assist. PS: the pizza shop across the road is a bargain.

Leider war hinter meiner Tür beim schließen Zigarettenstummel und anderer Dreck.. Insgesamt aber war das Zimmer schön. Leider nachts sehr laut, da die Türen aus Holz und auf der Straßenseite des Hotels (Fenster musste geschlossen sein). Ansonsten war das Bad sauber. Habe mich wohl gefühlt, würde wieder kommen.

Sehr freundliches Empfangspersonal , Sauberkeit ist auch völlig in Ordnung, Zimmer sind schön ,Bett groß und gemütlich TV völlig ausreichend, Dusche ist mit Glaswand ausgestattet und sauber, unsere Balkone waren sehr Mini aber für uns okay , diese waren Stühlen ausgestattet. Tee, Kaffee und Cappuccino gibt es kostenlos im Zimmer , die Zimmer sind mit einem Wasserkocher, Tassen, Gläsern und einer Wasserflasche ausgestattet. Frühstück ist für den zu bezahlenden Betrag wirklich gut, frische Brötchen Aufschnitt, Rührei etc. Müsli ist super , Kaffee und O-Saft. Alles sehr sauber und ordentlich. Und trotz Corona Buffet , war wirklich super. Check-out war problemlos. Wir fanden den Aufenthalt sehr angenehm und können das Hotel weiterempfehlen und würden wiederkommen.

Fint hotel med central beliggenhed
Jeg vil meget gerne anbefale hotellet, som er fint beliggende og har fine faciliteter, bl.a. grej til skopudsning 🤗 Problemet var nok Corona-nedlukning, som gjorde, at hotellet virkede meget tomt. Det gjorde også, at receptionen var låst i lange perioder, så man ikke kunne få instant kaffe, når de to kopper var drukket. Da jeg var på en researchrejse og derfor spurgte til forskellige lokaliteter i byen, var personalet ikke til stor hjælp. Men min kone og jeg havde en god oplevelse, både i byen og på hotellet.

Sehr angenehmes Hotel in Bahnhofsnähe
Sehr freundliches Personal • großzügiges, sauberes Zimmer mit Balkon • sehr bequemes Bett, genügend Steckdosen, gutes WLAN • Super: Wasserkocher mit Zubehör (Kaffee, Tee, Zucker…), Zimmersafe, unbeschränkt und gratis: kaltes Mineralwasser; Fazit: Nix zu Meckern!

Ich liebe dieses Hotel in Essen
Ich liebe es hier her zu kommen. Wenn ich nach Essen fahre, was immer wieder passiert, schaue ich als erstes ob hier was frei ist. Man wird immer sehr nett und kompetent empfangen. Die Zimmer sind toll ausgestattet und wirklich schön gemacht. Alles ist absolut sauber. Parken kann man Nachts vor der Tür, oder auf dem Hotelparkplatz.
