"By far the best beach on the island. The property has everything you need. Cute. Modest. Steps from the beach. Perfect for a short term or long term stay! I would not hesitate to recommend to my friends and family, or book again! Cottages by the Sea is my new Happy Place!!!!!"
"Peaceful Oceanside view stay on the boardwalk area The staff was extremely helpful with taxi arrangements to/from airport-$15pp each way. Water taxi and access to/from Hotel on the Cay’s beach was included in our stay. Bar and restaurant next to the beautifully kept pool area was very convenient. Also the ice cream shop next to the lobby was a great!"
"So one thing to remember here is that the property was built in the 60’s and sat for quite a while but with that said the rooms were immaculate…. Some of the resort does needs some updating like the pool which has a liner and sometimes it feels like you are walking on a sponge, but it was clean and well kept.
We were a little surprised as the marketing made it seem as though it was a much bigger property than it is. They do serve three different types of food from the same kitchen. The food was excellent from all perspectives and the serving staff was so attentive and concerned that we were happy with the service.
Another little issue we were presented with is that the power was being repaired as the facility is fully sustainable but the power went out a couple of times and we had to ask what was happening. It would have been nice if we were notified about the issues prior to arrival.
I’m sure they are working to get it back to normal. They are working hard to get the property in order and you have to remember this resort is right on the water and the peace and serenity are quite admirable and we wouldn’t have changed that for anything.
Julie was amazing and offered some complimentary things due to the power outages which we were very appreciative of that. She is caring, compassionate and really concerned about your stay and is quite the conversationalist. We enjoyed our conversation together.
The entertainment was top notch..!
Thank you for a memorable stay Julie"
"The food and drinks were great. Bar staff are kind & fun. They seem to truly enjoy their jobs. The bees were an unfortunate thing everyday, and it seemed like there were no attempts to make that situation better— specially with it being the only open bar. The seaweed smell took over the place. We tried to play pool one night, but it was very humid & didn’t seem to have ac in that area. We also walked over to the gym, which is down the street and found a lot of the machines don’t work. Overall; it was a relaxing experience because we chose to make it that way- but the property itself does seem a little rundown."
"Amazing free breakfast, however, budget your tips. The resort charges and automatic 20% tip on all purchases. But I have to say that it is well deserved based on the quality of service.
The restaurants have great food. However, they all have different schedules and can be confusing at first, so you should actually read the materials provided at check-in.
The service around the pool is not efficient but it is friendly. And the beach area is neatly kept.
It is a great romantic destination. However, there are plenty of activities for the family."
