"I had a wonderful stay at King Christian Hotel! The AC worked perfectly the entire time, which made coming back to the room after being out in the sun so refreshing. The location is truly prime—everything is within walking distance, and we loved taking morning strolls up and down the streets, soaking in the beauty of the area.
One of my favorite little highlights was the nearby ice cream shop—absolutely amazing! I tried the soursop flavor and it was so good, definitely a must-try. Most importantly, I felt very safe throughout my stay, which made the whole experience even more relaxing and enjoyable.
I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the island!"
"Enjoyed our stay at The Cove! The property is currently undergoing renovations. What has been completed LOOKS GREAT. Our room was very clean but unfinished. Room definitely needs more lighting and storage. No TV service, even after getting assistance to get online. AC unit in the room, unfortunately the last night, failed. Ample parking, and the grounds/pool area all are well taken care of and maintained. The staff/owners were the best! Any issues we had they were right there to help. The Cove, minus the minor issues, is a "diamond in the ruff", and would definitely consider rebooking another stay."
"I chose this hotel to stay at during my stay in St. Croix and was kind of disappointed and wondering why most of the reviews were positive and missing information I’d love to have read when choosing my stay.
First off my hotel room was great, the inside of my room was very clean and spacious. The room was renovated and up to date, and had amenities which I loved.
The staff was nice over all.
I did not love the beach at this hotel. It was full of seaweed and the water looked brown almost. I stayed for a week and didn’t see one person in the water ever.
The hotel was quite boring over all so if you are looking for a fun setting, this is not the hotel for you. If you need a very laid back and mean very then maybe this is the place for you.
The most annoying part of entire stay was the wifi/cell service, it was not good most of the time and I could not get any calls or internet service at some points.
The food was OK but was lacking seasoning and there weren’t a lot of options at the restaurant but the snack bar was not bad.
Lastly the location is quite away from everything else so be sure to rent a jeep to get around as taxis can be expensive. It’s also great to explore the island with which is a must when visiting St. Croix."
"The renovations being made to this special property are outstanding, and it will only continue to get better. The staff was wonderful, the housekeeping was excellent, and the beach bar is superb. I will definitely return! "
"The hotel is a fun place to stay, we had a few issues with getting towels, they were always short on beach towels. The beach was cute but not anything like advertised in their pictures, beach was not cleaned up, very rocky, lots of cigarette butts in the sand. They also rented out the patio and beach space to other guests from the outside, which made it somewhat feel crowded, they also had kids around the area, even though they advertised it as an adult only hotel.
Surprisingly they had only had 8 beach chairs and 8 umbrellas available. Food was alright, available only from 11-4 PM, sadly not a great variety. Most of the time we went to the other restaurants in the city, the Louie & Nacho Beach Bar and Napoleons Pizza place were pretty good, but not much of a food variety there either. We highly recommend the salmon burger at sand castle, that was pretty good.
Overall stay was fun and very relaxing, the city itself was nothing to write home about, most buildings are still destroyed from last hurricane, not much going on, you will see lots of homeless people, dogs in surrounding houses will be barking through the nights.
If you drink at the hotel bar, make sure you check your bill, Paula likes to add a few extra drinks and adds her own tip as well! Red flag‼️we have heard she had done this before! Overall was a great vacation! "
