"Cocoon Theresienwiese was a pleasant surprise. We booked a room for 4 people (two adults, two teens). The room was huge compared to what we were expecting. The was a queen bed for my husband and I and two bunks for the kids. The curtain separating the bunk area from the rest of the room was a nice touch. There was also a small sofa, kitchen table with 4 chairs, a kitchenette, bench seat and closet area. The bathroom had a roomy shower and the hair dryer came with a diffuser! (Curly haired girls, you know how valuable this is). The property appeared to be quite new and there was a very large business area as well as a hang out/cafe style area on the first floor, with an adorable tree house for families travelling with smaller kids. There appeared to be a single person manning the tiny check-in desk area during the main parts of the day and there was someone in the cafe area in the mornings if you wanted to purchase food. Coffee was complimentary. The was a bakery on the ground floor (not affiliated with the hotel), that had all of the standard German Bäckerei breakfast and snack choices. This was where we generally grabbed something before heading out for the day. My only critique is that it is a bit further from that Markenplatz area and any dining options (other than the bakery), than we would have liked. But it wasn't a terrible walk, maybe 20 minutes, and if we were really tired at the end of the day, we caught a taxi or uber back. "

"We stayed at this hotel for a week and had a genuinely pleasant experience. The location is one of its biggest strengths — it’s an easy walk from the main train station and close to the city center. The neighborhood is ethnically diverse but felt completely safe at all hours. Having a Lidl right next door was incredibly convenient for quick groceries or snacks. The staff were consistently friendly and helpful. We had a small issue with our room on the first day, but once I mentioned it, the team addressed it promptly and professionally. The only real downside was that the room could have been cleaned a bit better before our arrival. After that initial day, though, everything was fine. We had breakfast at the hotel every morning since it was included in our room rate. It was good and had enough variety, but I wouldn’t personally pay the €27 per person if it weren’t included. We also tried the hotel restaurant for dinner one evening, and that was a standout experience — excellent food, great service, smaller portions, and definitely on the pricier side, but worth it. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would happily return. The combination of location, staff, and convenience made it a solid choice for our trip."

"Great location and Great Staff in heart of downtown Munich Hauptbahnhof area. Stayed here for second Time in so many weeks. Close to everything. Great value for the money money. Close to food stores, restaurants and coffee shops. See pic of coffee shop we frequented, just around the corner from the hotel."
