The place is very echoey, so if the owners are entertaining downstairs you will hear it in your room. The lighting is very harsh, bright white, which is a big no for me personally. "The room was quite comfortable. I stayed in the winter and there was no heating, but the blankets were sufficient to stay warm. Two towels are provided, but there is no soap or toiletries. The room was serviced daily, but I had to ask for toilet paper.
The entrance to the hotel is difficult to miss and is a locked sliding door. Sometimes the staff at the entrance take a while to open the door.

The one weird thing is the number of times the hotel tried to contact me before my check-in. It was quite a nuisance. They emailed to confirm and then phoned me twice on the day of check-in. Neither time was I free to answer the call (the one time I was actually trying to scan my boarding pass for my flight and they were calling), but it felt a bit like I had a nanny! Very annoying!!
