This place is special and wonderful for any length of time. The secret spot is the Garden. You’ll have to see it to believe it. "Badic accommodation. Poor value for money. A pub with rooms. You could smell the fried chips when you opened the door in the car park. The staff were jobs worth and not welcoming.
Poorly maintained property which felt grubby. My room had a sash window broken so couldn't open it. Only good thing were the bath towels and good mattress. Pillows awful. Make sure you don't have a room on the front of the hotel as the noise from the road is continous through the night. I would not stay there...

"We only stayed one night and it was an okay enough experience, the staff were friendly and room clean, with ample parking. The amenities in the room were also good for our needs and really nice having some outdoor space. The on site pub was really nice and cosy with some board games which was nice to spend a relaxing evening playing.
My main issue is the upkeep, the pillows underneath the cases looked a bit worse for wear, there were scrapes on the walls and a bit of paint scraped off in the...

"Room was large with king bed, two chairs for reading, desk counter with chair, coffeemaker, large batbroom with tub and shower. Fairly quiet, althougb I could hear the conversations across the hall easily. Nice bar, friendly and helpful staff. Bus into Oxford a few minutes away."
