Rooms were designed well and very comfortable. What made this historic hotel stay even more exquisite is their wine, beer and cheese/ fruit cocktail hour daily and pastries and coffee in the morning. Also there is a steam room in the gym!! Would recommend 100%

Great location with a lot of food and drink options within a short walk, and friendly people working at the desk. I also enjoyed the rooftop bar, although it never opened our second night due to lack of staff. Only issue is that the windows do little to prevent the noise outside on the street. It gets loud at night with the Irish bar underneath and the lack of sound proofing makes it seem like there’s a window open. I was woken a couple times by people, including 2 dudes having an argument at 3 am.

We usually stay at generic corporate hotels, but it was cool to try out Hotel Donaldson. It's an older property that has been refurbished to be a boutique hotel. We liked the original artwork in the rooms (each room has a featured artist), the wine and cheese at 5pm, and the pastries and coffee in the morning. The rooftop bar was closed when we were there -- it would have been nice to have access to the roof to see the view. The location is great, right downtown and within walking of many bars and restaurants.

Great access to downtown Fargo. No parking close. Breakfast was available but very little selection. It was just a pastry and coffee. Rooms are clean, well laid out, and the beds are comfortable.

It was a cozy week night stay at the HoDo! Staff were friendly and we really enjoyed the complimentary afternoon snack bar as well as the room serviced locally baked pastries in the morning. And a great location downtown, plenty to do, even on a Tuesday!
